Biography
Elizabeth Bates, NP, has joined the staff of the Valley River Pediatrics Plus Clinic.
She earned her master of health science from Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health, a postgraduate certificate as an acute care pediatric nurse practitioner from the Rush University College of Nursing, and a master of science in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She is working toward a PhD in Prevention Science at the University of Oregon.
She brings deep experience as a pediatric nurse practitioner to her current role, having most recently worked at Northern Lights Pediatric Primary Care in Bangor, ME, as well as at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
“I’m excited to be working in urgent care, filling a need for community,” Bates said.
She is also looking forward to continuing to work in pediatrics.
“It’s fun to come in and not just try to figure out what’s wrong but to also help them feel comfortable,” she said. “That’s the real art of medicine.”
