Cecilia is so happy to be a part of the wonderful team at PeaceHealth Therapy and Wellness Center. Originally from the Midwest, Cecilia graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Northern Michigan University in 2017. She then took a leap of faith and moved out to the west coast to obtain her Master's in Speech-Language Pathology from Western Washington University. Cecilia greatly enjoys working with both pediatric and adult populations, as well as with keeping up on current research and best practices in the field. She is passionate about incorporation of neurodiversity and inclusive practices in therapy, as well as individually tailoring therapy to be as functional and enjoyable as possible for the individual. Her areas of specialty are working with people who stutter, gender-affirming voice therapy treatment, language/learning disorders specifically in the adolescent population, and aphasia/cognitive-communication disorders for individuals who have had a head injury or stroke. She has attended the LSVT LOUD® Training and Certification Course for treatment of individuals with speech or movement disorders related to Parkinson disease. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, exploring the Portland food and coffee scene, and studying/performing improv comedy.
