Carlan Gordon, Psy.D., joined the PeaceHealth Behavioral Health team in 2022 in Bellingham. She is a graduate of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois, specializing in international psychology and human rights. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the Alaska Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in Anchorage, Alaska, with a focus on post-traumatic stress disorder.
Most recently, Dr. Gordon provided clinical services to patients, mentored behavioral health providers and developed clinical psychology training programs at a federally qualified health center in Colorado. She has extensive experience in teaching and research, and working with veterans, refugees, children, families and patients dealing with the effects of trauma.
Dr. Gordon also served in the United States Peace Corps in the Republic of Benin, West Africa, teaching English, providing education health and business topics and starting a fair-trade non-profit that exported community-grown agricultural products to the U. S.
