Nurse Practitioner, Family
Aurora Hoyle, NP, joined the PeaceHealth Medical Group Family Medicine team at PeaceHealth Peace Island Medical Center in April 2022.
She joins the Peace Island team from Oregon Health & Science University's Rural Residency program in Fort Klamath, Oregon. She worked as an RN for 15 years before becoming a nurse practitioner in 2017. Aurora provides a full spectrum of care, working with families and the community to promote healthy lifestyles and illness prevention.
In her previous position as a nurse practitioner, Aurora treated patients for a wide variety of conditions in a rural setting with limited resources and access to specialized care. She has also worked at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, as an NP and BSN-RN educator. She previously held nursing roles in the Medford and Portland, Oregon, areas.
Aurora has a Master of Science in Nursing from Georgia State University in Atlanta and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Linfield College in Oregon. She also received certification in chronic wound care from Emory University in Atlanta.
“I want to keep communities healthy by improving health outcomes and providing access to care for all individuals,” Aurora said. “Advocating for medical and social justice is important to me.”
