Anca Balasu, MD, joined PeaceHealth Medical Group in September of 2005. Her practice will be located in A Child’s Place at the Broadway Campus. Dr. Balasu received her medical degree at Carol Davila University of Medicine in Bucharest, Romania in 1995. She completed a Residency in Pediatrics in 2000, at Fundeni University Hospital, Bucharest. Dr. Balasu explains that her work with Romanian orphans towards the end of her training ignited her interest in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She completed her residency in general adult psychiatry at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York, in 2003, and completed her fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, summer of 2005.
Dr. Balasu’s spouse, Adrian Bucerzan, is also a physician. Dr. Bucerzan is fellowship trained in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He is currently completing a Sleep Medicine fellowship. The Balasu-Bucerzan’s enjoy spending time with their daughter.
