Alexandra (Alex) Sele, NP, joined the PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center Palliative Care team in January 2022. Her medical interests include oncology, symptom management and adult/geriatric care. Alex joins PeaceHealth from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center/University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. During her five years there, Alex worked on the adult blood and marrow transplant team providing care to patients undergoing autologous or allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant as well as immunotherapy. Alex was named a Top Nurse Practitioner: Hematology/Oncology on Seattle Met’s Top Doctors 2021 list. Alex completed her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a minor in communication studies from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. She went on to complete a Master of Nursing from Seattle University in Seattle, Washington. As a lifelong athlete and Division I volleyball player at the University of Idaho, Alex enjoys being part of a team of medical professionals helping people live fulfilling lives. “The human body is amazing and endlessly interesting,” she shared, “I enjoy helping people to navigate both acute and chronic illness to help them maximize their idea of health and well-being.” Alex uses her training in motivational interviewing to work collaboratively with her patients through their treatment plans. When not in a clinical setting, Alex enjoys hiking and spending time outside and in the company of her friends, family and pets.
