PeaceHealth partners with Whatcom Unified Command to gratefully accept donations to support COVID-19 efforts in Whatcom County

Donate supplies

As we all know, COVID-19 is rapidly changing our world. Based on the March 23 “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order from Governor Jay Inslee, and to help serve the needs of our entire community, PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center supports Whatcom Unified Command (WUC).  WUC has activated a means to donate to efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. 

Those who wish to donate to the healthcare and social organizations within Whatcom County are encouraged to contact PeaceHealth St. Joseph will no longer be accepting donations at the Grabow Therapy and Wellness Center, as previously communicated.

Please see this comprehensive list of the items that are currently being accepted, including descriptions of masks, respirators, gloves, hand sanitizers or wipes, medical exam masks, industrial face schields, surgical gowns, medical goggles, Tyvek suits, thermometers and hand-sewn masks.

Detailed drop-off instructions can be found here. The drop-off location is 4233 Guide Meridian, Suite 101, Bellingham​ (just south west of the intersection of Guide Meriden and Kellogg). Heads up: The traffic dividers in this area make it difficult to navigate.


Donate handmade masks

Please use these instructions and video (updated 4/1/20) to create our preferred design of hand-sewn masks. If you have already fabricated masks using a different design template, you may donate those as well. Please pre-shrink fabric prior to fabrication of the mask.

We’ve received an outpouring of support from community members who’d like to provide our caregivers with sustenance as they make sacrifices to come to work every day amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
