Pregnancy and Childbirth: 5-Session Class

Description: Bellingham Technical College. This condensed series provides information on pregnancy, labor, and birth, including comfort measures and labor support and is a great refresher option. Postpartum topics covered are newborn care, breastfeeding, parenting adjustments and resources. Both mother-to-be and support person register for this course and the price covers both. Please bring several pillows and a blanket or soft mat to class, as part of each class is spent on the floor practicing relaxation and breathing techniques. Plan to begin this class by the 6th month of pregnancy. Course fees are waived for those covered by Washington Apple Health (Medicaid). Course #8010 is held on Wednesdays, September 2 through September 30, 2015. Course #8011 is held on Thursdays, Oct. 1 through Oct. 29, 2015. Instructors: Jennifer Knudsen or Elizabeth Diaz.
