Diabetes Education

People with diabetes will have an opportunity to learn more about their disease and how to live a healthy life in a series of classes offered by PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center.
Join the next class starting March 12 which will include the following topics:
Diabetes Basics and Nutrition (March 12)
Carbohydrate Counting; Self Blood Sugar Testing; Low Blood Sugar; Physical Activity (March 19)
High Blood Sugar/Sick Day Guidelines; Prevention; Complications; Healthy Eating (March 26)
Meal Planning; Stress; Medications; Sexual Health; Sleep; Depression; Resources (April 2)
Classes meet in the 2nd Floor Conference Roomat Ketchikan Medical Center, 3100 Tongass Avenue, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
