Our Team

We are a comprehensive Vascular Laboratory providing a complete range of diagnostic non-invasive vascular exams utilizing state of the art equipment.

Our Vascular Laboratory is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL). This accreditation demonstrates our commitment to quality patient care.

Our Vascular Sonographers strive to provide you and your patients with excellent service, accurate results, and timely appointment accommodation. Our staff is composed of well trained registered vascular technologists.

All exams are interpreted by a multi-specialty group of physicians that have obtained the "Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation" credential from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), again demonstrating our commitment to quality.

Non-invasive Tests Performed

  • Extracranial (Carotid) Duplex Exam: Utilizes duplex ultrasonography (image plus doppler) to detect and/or monitor the carotid, vertebral, and subclavian arteries to determine the severity and location of occlusive disease that potentially may lead to stroke.
  • Peripheral Arterial Duplex Exam: Utilizes duplex ultrasound in conjunction with ABI's to detect and quantify peripheral arterial disease in native arteries and bypass grafts, such as stenosis (blockage), pseudoaneurysm, aneurysm and fistula grafts. Toe pressures to determine distal foot perfusion may also be obtained.
  • Peripheral Venous Duplex Exam: Used to evaluate the upper or lower extremity veins when pain or swelling is present to rule out deep venous thrombosis, a potentially life-threatening condition. Preliminary and/or final results will be provided immediately following the exam to the referring provider. This exam will often be performed on the same day as requested. A lower extremity venous reflux exam is performed to rule out venous valvular insufficiency.
  • Abdominal Duplex Exam: Aortoiliac duplex exams for aneurysm or stenosis, renal artery duplex mesenteric exam for renal artery stenosis suspected as a cause for hypertension, and mesenteric artery duplex exam for suspected mesenteric ischemia. Abdominal exams require patients to be NPO (fasting) for eight hours prior to the exam with a light meal the night prior to the exam. These exams are, therefore, usually scheduled in the morning. Water and medication may be taken as needed prior to the exam.

You and your patients are important to us. We are committed to providing you dedicated, accurate and convenient vascular services, while providing your patients the care, comfort and compassion you would expect as an extension of your practice.
