Who May Attend
The target audience of PeaceHealth St. Joseph’s Continuing Medical Education (CME) program is our medical staff and community physicians. Our secondary audience includes PeaceHealth Northwest medical staff and community physicians in San Juan, Skagit and Island counties and Southeast Alaska, and health professionals working cooperatively with physicians to deliver personal and community health care. Others may attend; however, some educational activities are limited to medical and clinical staff. Please contact the CME office for clarification.

2017 WWU Palliative Care Institute Conference: Helping till it Hurts: Building Resilience for Caregivers
Friday, May 12, 2017, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Settlemeyer Hall, Bellingham Technical College
This day-long conference will include keynotes, break-out discussions and interactive sessions focusing on building resilience and combating compassion fatigue for physicians, clinical and home caregivers working in palliative and end-of-life care. Participants will learn about the hazards of caregiving - compassion fatigue, burnout, vicarious trauma - to protect against burnout and to build resilience. 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™ jointly provided by PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center and Western Washington University
