Oncology Regional Care Advancement Symposium 2019:

Communication and Collaboration in Cancer Care

7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 in Bellingham, WA

Communication and collaboration among specialists and primary care providers are crucial to providing optimum care for patients recently diagnosed with or undergoing treatment for cancer.  Immunotherapy and other new treatment modalities often have side effects or complications that are unfamiliar to many PCPs. Severe, unfamiliar reactions may prompt more visits to Emergency or Urgent Care and more hospital admissions for patients whose conditions could have been managed by Cancer Center clinicians. This symposium will provide information and strategies for supporting and integrating primary care physicians and other providers into their cancer patients’ care.  View the ORCA 2019 Agenda and Register Today!
