Who May Attend

PeaceHealth St. Joseph medical staff and community physicians are the primary audience of our Continuing Medical Education (CME) program. Our secondary audience includes PeaceHealth medical staff and community physicians in San Juan, Skagit and Island counties and Southeast Alaska, and health professionals working cooperatively with physicians to deliver personal and community health care.​ Others may attend; however, some educational activities are limited to medical and clinical staff. Please contact the CME office for clarification.

Communication and Collaboration in Cancer Care

Communication and collaboration among primary care providers and specialists are crucial in caring for cancer patients.  Immunotherapy and other new treatments have side effects or complications that may be unfamiliar to PCPs, increasing visits to Emergency and/or hospital admissions for conditions could have been managed by Cancer Center clinicians. Primary care providers and specialists will learn strategies for collaborating and integrating the care of your cancer patients.  AJCC cancer staging will be discussed. Location: St. Luke's Community Health Education Center, 3333 Squalicum Parkway.
