National. 21 regional groups. Founded 2005. Support for patients, caregivers, families, those who lost loved ones to amyloidosis and friends of amyloidosis patients. Also deals with multiple myeloma, peripheral neuropathy, familial amyloidosis and protein misfolding. Telephone support network, pen pal program, educational materials, national conference, advocacy, information and referrals. Online mutual aid activities include message board and mailing list. Assistance in starting and maintaining groups.

International Myeloma Foundation (IMF)

International network. 100+ groups. Founded 1990. Goal is to improve the quality of life of myeloma patients while working toward prevention and a cure. The IMF operates a Myeloma Hotline, disseminates comprehensive printed and online information about myeloma, treatment options and disease management.
