People throughout the region, including Canada, come to The
Cardiovascular Center at St. Joseph Hospital for compassionate
care and a comprehensive range of heart care services. The
Center, which opened in 2003 and is a show site for Philips
Medical Systems, offers leading-edge diagnostics and the
latest technologies in interventional cardiology and heart
surgery, as well as patient educational support through a
cardiac rehabilitation program.
The Cardiovascular Center has attracted highly specialized
cardiologists and heart surgeons who collaborate with the
Center's expert staff to deliver unsurpassed care. Many of our
board-certified physicians and staff have studied and
practiced at the nation's leading medical centers.
The Cardiovascular Center also participates in a multitude
of clinical research programs. Current efforts focus on participation in
multi-center trials that include PREVENT IV, ARRIVE 2, DELTA
MI, CRT Renewal Registry, HRV, REFLEX, INTRINSIC RV, EASY
TRACK IV, AND PEGASUS as well as contribution to national
databases including the Society of Thoracic Surgeons Adult
Cardiac Surgery database, the American College of Cardiology
National Cardiovascular Data Registry, the National
Registry of Myocardial Infarction, and the Clinical Outcomes
Assessment Program.
