A surgery or a hospital stay can be a frightening, anxious, or lonely time
for patients and their families. At St. Joseph Hospital, chaplains are
available around the clock to provide confidential emotional and spiritual
support, individual or family counseling, and assistance in contacting clergy
of all faiths.
The professional chaplains in our Spiritual Care program have all
completed comprehensive training and are constantly furthering their
knowledge to meet the special demands they face in a hospital setting. They
are available to be present with you and/or your loved ones and never impose
religious preferences or personal philosophies on patients or families.
Spiritual Care services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
During business hours you may call: 360-734-5400 and request Spiritual Care.
For Spiritual Care services after 5 p.m. weekdays or on weekends, please
call the hospital operator at 360-734-5400 and request the on-call chaplain.
The Spiritual Care Department also offers Clinical Pastoral
Education. If
