A Bellingham man was saved from certain death
through the work of doctors Richard J. Leone, a cardiothoracic
surgeon, and Andrew T. Coletti, a cardiologist. Jeff Frere’s
“journey” to another chance at life began at St. Joseph Hospital.

seemed an unlikely candidate for a heart transplant; he didn’t have
