Support Nights

Imagine what it must be like for a child who suffers the death of a parent, sibling or someone special in their life.  Who can they turn  to for support?  Their friends shy away because they don't know what to say.  it's hard to talk to other family members because they are already grieving.  How do they cope with the death of a loved one?
In Skagit, Island and North Snohomish Counties, they can come to The landing, a safe and loving place where kids can share their grief with others.
  • When: Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday night, depending on age of child
  • Location: The Landing at United General Hospital
  • Cost: Free
  • Register: Families must go through an intake process to participate in The Landing.  Please contact us to learn more and to begin that process.
  • Contact:  Meredith at (360) 856-7615 or by email.  Or, contact The Landing volunteers at (360) 420-9390

Children Support Nights

Children grieve and discuss their experiences differently than adults. This group provides them with a place to process the intense feelings they may be experiencing in age appropriate groups. They’ll have an opportunity to share their experiences in circle time, act it out in our children’s theatre, express their feelings through artwork or even “pound it out” in our Volcano Room, which is equipped with a punching bag.
