Education Before Surgery
Our Preoperative Education class is scheduled two-three weeks prior to your surgery date. Coaches (a family member or friend selected by you to assist in the recovery process) are strongly encouraged to attend. This orientation covers what you need to be doing to be prepared for surgery, what you need to bring to the hospital, what your days will look like in the hospital after surgery, how you need to have prepared your house for going home, appointments you need to have set up prior to coming into the hospital for right after you are home, and so much more!
Classes are held every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Class location is on the third surgical floor, in the Group Physical Therapy Room, at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center. To register, call (360) 788-6059.
