Our general cardiology program integrates the latest advances in cardiac care and clinical therapies to accurately diagnose and manage heart disease, including these conditions:

  • hereditary heart defects
  • coronary artery disease
  • heart failure
  • valvular heart disease
  • advanced heart rhythm management

Our treatment plans are customized to address each patient’s medical history and current conditions or concerns in order to improve their quality of life. Additional information about our services and treatments follows:

Heart Failure Program: This program has a dedicated team who supports patients by helping them manage their heart failure diagnosis. They work closely with patients in the development of treatment plans and are available to offer support and advice outside of scheduled appointments.

Adult Congenital Heart Disorders: We offer comprehensive care for adults with congenital heart disease. This is accomplished through a partnership between our specially trained cardiologists and our affiliation with the University of Washington and Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle. For some patients, a coordinated plan sharing care between North Cascade Cardiology and the University of Washington Adult Congenital Heart Program is appropriate.

Cardiac Rhythm Management: This program provides diagnosis and treatment for disorders that affect the heart’s electrical system and cause rhythm problems. Our electrophysiology program uses sophisticated computer technology with advanced 3-D mapping and is one of only a few such systems in Washington state.

Interventional Cardiology: Our cardiologists provide a full range of the most advanced interventional cardiology, including coronary angioplasty, stents, Filterwire (for patients who have saphenous vein graft disease), coronary artery bypass surgery or alternative minimally invasive treatments (for patients who have total chronic occlusion), transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and more.

Lipid Clinic: Our Lipid Clinic helps patients achieve and maintain a healthy cholesterol profile. A healthy cholesterol profile reduces the risk of recurrent heart disease. Lipid Clinic participants receive a combination of cholesterol education, diet and exercise recommendations, and lipid-lowering medications.

Diagnostic Imaging: Patients who require cardiac work-ups or other diagnostic tests prior to undergoing surgery can have tests performed in a clinic setting and receive prompt follow-up to any abnormal results.

Our accredited imaging center provides unprecedented image quality through a combination of specialized technologists, advanced equipment and skilled cardiologists.

Off-Site Diagnostic Procedures

Imaging tests that are not performed onsite are generally referred to Mt. Baker Imaging. Several of Mt. Baker Imaging’s locations are conveniently located near the Cardiovascular Center.
