The PeaceHealth St. Joseph Community Affairs department works to maintain an ongoing assessment of the community's health needs and resources, particularly relating to the special needs of lower income, underserved and "at risk" populations in Whatcom County. Department activities involve the development of collaborative responses to community needs, with particular attention to primary prevention programs for young families and children, and ensuring quality, affordable health care for vulnerable populations.

Community Health Improvement Plan
In collaboration with the County Health Department, PeaceHealth St. Joseph provides leadership and support for the development and implementation of the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). The CHIP is the result of a community assessment that identifies key areas where our community can take action to improve overall community health.
