Spiritual Care
Chapel
Our beautiful chapel is conveniently located in the south end of the hospital
lobby, providing a quiet respite for prayer and reflection from 6:00 am to 10:00
pm daily. Reading resources and information are also available within the
chapel.
Care Baskets
Care Baskets are provided for families of patients that are on "comfort care
only". These baskets contain a variety of items that allow the family to help
care for their loved one including a face cloth to wipe their brow or cool them
down, a note book to jot down questions for the doctor, a note card, lotion,
other items that might provide assistance and promote healing.
Bibles
New Testaments are provided in all of the patient the rooms. As a patient if you
are unable to locate it or if you would prefer a complete Bible with both the
Old and New Testament please ask one of the Chaplains, your nurse or CNA and we
would be more than happy to get one for you.
Chaplain Availability
PeaceHealth Chaplains are usually on campus Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM
to 4:30 PM. Chaplains are on call for emergencies after hours and on weekends.
Chaplains are available to patients and their families for prayer and
conversation to help calm any fears or anxieties. With permission we can contact
your personal Pastor or Minister.
If you wish the Sacraments of the Catholic Church, or rites of other Christians
denominations, please let your nurse or one of the Chaplains know and we will
gladly arrange that for you.
