Guardian Angel Program
Beyond top technology and advanced care techniques, patients describe their hospital experience in terms of the people who cared for them during their stay. Simple acts of human kindness—tracking down extra blankets, playing music at the bedside, or just listening—can be profoundly meaningful and healing.
Expressing Gratitude
Many patients and family members want to express their gratitude for the compassionate care they receive—the Guardian Angel program allows you to do just that.
With a Guardian Angel nomination, you can acknowledge the efforts of the caregiver who made a difference during your hospital stay.
Caregivers Appreciate Gratitude
And it’s appreciated. As one Sacred Heart caregiver says, “Providing compassionate support is part of being a caregiver. That’s what we
do. But learning that we’ve made a real difference to a patient is the greatest reward we could receive.”
Recognizing an Angel
Any caregiver who makes a difference can be recognized as a Guardian Angel by a patient, friend or family member.
Each caregiver recognized is honored during a special ceremony among their peers and presented with a Guardian Angel pin, certificate, photo of the presentation and recognition in hospital publications.
