Calculate Calories Needed Per Day

The following guidelines will help you estimate the number of calories you need per day to achieve or maintain a healthy body weight.

Determine a recommended weight for you by using this guideline:

Women: 100 pounds for the first 5 feet of your height plus 5 pounds for each additional inch
Men: 106 lbs for the first 5 feet of your height plus 6 pounds for each additional inch
If you would like to lose weight, use your desired or recommended weight for the following calculations.  If you wish to maintain your weight, use your current weight.
