Angie Hansen and her daughter Amanda are members of the Skagit Valley Roller Derby. They are also patients of Dr. Nadya Volksy, of United Family Medicine. Angie has seen Dr. Volsky with Derby-related injuries and Amanda was under the care of Dr. Volksy last year for a broken leg, not related to roller derby.
“Having the right doctor is always important, but when you are participating in something as physical as derby, having a great doctor - like Dr. Volsky - is a necessity,” says Angie.
Dr. Nadya Volsky is trained in primary care sports medicine and utilizes ImPaCT® as part of concussion management. ImPaCT® (Immediate Post-Concussion assessment and Cognitive Testing) is the first, most-widely used, and most scientifically validated computerized concussion evaluation system.
