Dr. Jewett received his bachelor’s degree in Science from Stanford University. He went on to earn a master’s degree in Neuropharmacology at Stanford and did his medical training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed both a general surgical internship and an orthopedic surgery residency at Vanderbilt, and then a Fellowship in Adult Joint Reconstruction at Anderson Orthopedic Research Institute in Alexandria, Virginia.

Dr. Jewett came to Eugene to develop a surgical practice devoted to the care of patients with arthritis of the hip and knee. While investing time in his practice, he has devoted an equal amount of time to patient and community education about the diseases of the hip and knee and their surgical treatment. He has worked to promote patient care programs based on proven protocols throughout the continuum of patient care. 
Dr. Jewett enjoys outdoor activities like skiing and hiking with his two daughters, Emily and Amanda, and enjoys skiing, cycling and photography in his free time.
