“Sacred Heart Medical Center is foremost about saving lives and changing lives. To be part of the extraordinary effort
that will expand Sacred Heart’s mission to RiverBend is a privilege. When all is
said and done, I will look back and take pride in being part of our success. We
all will.”
Casey Woodard, Executive Director, Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation

Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation helps the community provide
charitable support for Sacred Heart Medical Center. Established in 1962, the Foundation builds on the hospital's long history of partnering with area residents, businesses, and human services organizations to help provide quality healthcare locally.
Partners include grateful patients and their families,
businesses, as well as hospital employees and supporters in the
community who want to ensure that quality medical care is available to everyone, regardless of ability to pay.
The Foundation supports more than 100 clinical and community healthcare
programs.
Some are important collaborations with human service organizations. Others are major clinical departments that save lives every day through the miracles of
medicine. Others are small community services that improve the daily lives of children, mothers, seniors and others with special needs; these services do big
things on small budgets.
The Foundation’s giving programs allow the medical and social services
professionals of Sacred Heart to focus on the important task of healing, not fundraising.
Sacred Heart Medical Center is a not-for-profit hospital. The hospital reinvests any earnings above costs in the healthcare needs of the community. Sacred Heart serves everyone with the same level of compassionate quality care, regardless of
ability to pay. The hospital turns no one away.
This commitment, coupled with an exceptional medical staff and leading-edge
healthcare programs, has produced the highest standard of care and earned Sacred
Heart national recognition. Among other awards, Sacred Heart has received a
5-star rating on the Cleverley and Associates “Community Value Index,” a measure that
rates a hospital on its overall financial performance, costs and charges.
However, the cost of providing quality medical care to a growing population
requires financial support beyond the hospital’s means. Programs that supplement
clinical care, but are no less vital, are often not covered by insurance. Sacred
Heart assumes a substantial share of the costs of care for our most vulnerable community members.
That’s why your compassion and your commitment to supporting healthcare in our
community have become increasingly important. We look forward to assisting you in exploring
how to give to the Sacred Heart program that has particular meaning for you.
