Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend The Orthopedic Unit is comprised of a multidisciplinary team that includes Nursing, Physicians, Therapists, Medical Social Work and others. The Nursing Unit is supported by a Clinical Nurse Educator, who provides an Orthopedic class for new nurses. In addition we offer nursing support for new graduates and re-entry nurses, along with on-going continuing educational opportunities. |

Nursing at Sacred Heart involves a dynamic Professional Practice Care Model which incorporates Staff Nurses, LPNs and CNAs, who work in conjunction with the whole Team as a Unit Based Council. This Council is a nursing unit decision making body which is empowered to make care and policy recommendations as well as changes on the unit. |
