Nurse Practitioners |

Nurse practitioners are registered nurses who have completed further
advanced nursing education (generally a master’s degree or a doctoral
degree) and training. At PeaceHealth Check-up, our experienced nurse
practitioners are licensed by the state of Oregon and have passed a
challenging national certification exam. The nurse practitioners at
PeaceHealth Check-up have medical back up from
PeaceHealth Medical Group Urgent Care physicians. |
The nurse practitioners at PeaceHealth Check-up provide the following
services:
- Diagnose and treat common illnesses and minor injuries
- Prescribe medication
- Perform physical exams
- Perform and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests
- Counsel and teach health and nutrition
- Refer patients to specialists and other health care providers
- Provide information and support to help patients make decisions
about their own health
