Disabilities resulting from stroke often include a loss of motor and
sensory function which may result in mobility and self-care deficits,
cognitive and perceptual problems, memory loss, communication and
swallowing difficulties, and visual disturbances. The Oregon
Rehabilitation Center (ORC) offers the clinical, technical, and professional
resources necessary to maximize the stroke patient's progress toward a
more independent and productive life. A specialized team approach,
including the patient and family, is used to identify and treat primary
problems and goals for patients.
Program Objectives
