Funding Opportunities

The Center has been made possible through multiple grants and donations. In 2005 the OHSU School of Medicine received a $1.5 million grant from the James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation to support program development for the Eugene initiative.  In 2006, the Oregon Community Credit Union provided a $1 million endowment for our 3rd and 4th year clerkship program.

In addition, PeaceHealth provided the space for the Center and the Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation has provided significant funding for operations of the Department and will continue to explore additional grant and endowment opportunities.

OHSU and the University of Oregon will submit a request to the State Legislature for additional funding of this program for the 2009 session.
