General

Information about visitors to this site may be placed in a cookie file or may be accumulated in databases for demographic purposes or to aid you in requesting health information, resources, or services.

The only personally-identifiable information in PeaceHealth files is information you provide voluntarily and PeaceHealth will not use any information collected here for any purpose other than as explicitly stated when the information is requested.

Some information which is not personally-identifiable may be collected automatically. Examples of this include the type of Internet browser or computer operating system you are using. Such information helps us tailor the features of our website to provide greatest access.

Children/Parents

PeaceHealth encourages all parents to instruct their children in the safe and responsible use of their personally-identifiable information (name, address, telephone number, or email address) while using the Internet.

A Note About Cookies

Web sites can use your browser software to place a file called a cookie on your computer. Each cookie file is different and depends on the web site that created it. By design, a cookie file is intended to be available to and make sense only to the web site that created it. By using the cookie file the web site can remember you and your interests from your last visit and customize what you see each time without asking you for the same information over and over. (For instance, telling you about health resources in your specific area because you've volunteered what zip code you live in.)

PeaceHealth does not use the information in the cookie it creates on its web site for purposes other than demographics and customizing your visit.

Additionally, nearly all Internet browsers allow you to specify whether you want to allow cookies to be placed on your computer. You should also be able to delete any and all cookies at any time. Since some sites require you to register and select a password you may wish to be selective in deleting cookies. Otherwise, you'll be asked to select a new password every time you visit. And some sites will not work at all if you will not accept cookies because they contain information needed for the current session. (For instance, to differentiate between your session and anyone else also currently connected.)
