Model. Job-seekers self-help group, with 26 groups in AZ, DC, MA and NJ. Founded 2011. Mutual support for those who are actively looking for work, and would like to re-invigorate their job search. Includes laid-off workers, recent college grads, those re-entering the job market, anyone seeking volunteer and part-time work, retirees seeking part-time, and struggling small business owners. Members share support and job leads, assisting each other with techniques and suggestions to improve job search and networking, while setting personal goals between meetings. Values a positive 'Pay It Forward' group culture. All groups meet at local public libraries where local librarians skilled in job search resources and skills are available, along with access to computers. Will train volunteer leaders on program to bring a NhN chapter to your town.
