Child Development Center

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center Child Development Center, located at 130 Washington Street. We are open every day from 6:30am to 7:30pm with the exception of major holidays.

Our Center is a non-profit, state licensed, childcare facility. It is open to all PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center employees whose children have not reached their thirteenth birthday. In addition to KMC employees, we are also open to the community on a space available basis.

We have developed a dual focus of service for the children in our care. Our program emphasizes health, nutrition, safety, and social experience. At the same time we strive to achieve a sound developmental environment with an emphasis on discovery in the areas of language and speech development, gross and fine motor development, concept formation, and self-help or life skills. Through this program we hope to provide a safe, nurturing, supportive, yet challenging space for the children in our care.

All of us at the Center are looking forward to spending time with you and your child. Parents are encouraged to stop by and visit with us at any time. We hope that you and your child will feel as good about the time spent here as we do.
