Orofacial myologists help identify and treat a variety of problems related to facial muscles and the mouth. These professionals work to correct problems that interfere with the proper function of the tongue, lips, and mandible. Thumb-sucking, digit-sucking, or swallowing abnormalities are examples of some of the conditions orofacial myologists are trained to help improve or resolve.

This organization can help you locate a professional in your area or provide information about the various conditions that cause abnormal oral functioning.
