National Tay-Sachs and Allied Diseases Association
(MULTILINGUAL) International. Founded 1957. Dedicated to the
treatment and prevention of Tay-Sachs, Canavan and related genetic
diseases. Provides information and support services to individuals
of all ages and families affected by these disorders as well as
caregivers and the public at large. The strategies for achieving
these goals include public and professional education, research,
genetic screening, support services (i.e. peer support group for
parents, grandparents, extended family members) and advocacy.
