Who is affected by venous skin ulcers

About 1% of all adults develop skin ulcers on the lower part of their legs. The majority of leg ulcers are venous skin ulcers.¹

People who are most likely to develop venous skin ulcers:^{2, 1}

• Are women.
• Are over age 65.
• Have venous insufficiency due to various causes.
