Cerebral palsy is one of the most common causes of permanent disability in children.

  • Cerebral palsy occurs in approximately 1.4 to 2.4 of every 1,000 people.1 It occurs equally in males and females.
  • Currently, there are more than 500,000 people with cerebral palsy in the United States.
