Giving to Sacred Heart
Medical Center Foundation

The Foundation can help you make a difference for the many programs at Sacred Heart. Here are a few ways you can support our community's health care:

Make a Gift

  • Make a gift online through our secure server using your credit card.
  • Mail in your gift, and send in the completed donation form (pdf). You may write a check (payable to SHMC Foundation), use your credit card, or make a pledge for monthly, quarterly or annual payments. Pledges offer you more flexibility to make a gift on your terms.  If you decide to make a pledge, we will send you helpful reminders.

All gifts are tax deductible to the full extent the law allows. You can submit your gift in honor or in memory of someone special or to recognize an important event. We will be glad to send an acknowledgement to whomever you specify.

Giving Partners

  • Designate your annual workplace or United Way campaign gift.
  • Use the response coupon on the donation form to notify us if your employer has a donation-matching program.

Planned Giving

If you would like to explore the planned giving option best for you, visit our Planned Giving Web page. You will find information and tools for planning a gift through your estate, establishing a charitable annuity or trust and other opportunities. The Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation has a nationally regarded planned-giving expert on staff who can help you customize your plan. There is no fee for this service. Contact us for information.

Purchase a Gift and Support Sacred Heart

You can also support patient care at Sacred Heart by making a purchase at the hospital’s gift shop, Heartfelt Gifts, located next to the lobby. All gift shop proceeds are contributed to Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation. Heartfelt Gifts is operated by the members of the Sacred Heart Hospital Guild, a volunteer organization dedicated to enhancing patient care.

The mission of the Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) philanthropic organization, is to improve the health and lives of community members by providing charitable support to Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Mateo's Story

In 2008, Mateo Guerrero was born with a condition that required emergency surgery at Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Since then, Mateo has had numerous surgeries, all done away from home, which has been difficult for his close-knit family.

With the arrival of surgeon Dr. Garrett Zallen and new pediatric surgical equipment purchased through generous community gifts, Mateo’s most recent surgery was done at Sacred Heart Medical Center-RiverBend.

Mateo is a cheerful kindergartener whose family is grateful for the community’s support of pediatric surgery and also grateful that any future care Mateo requires can be done here at home.

“If we couldn’t have done the surgery at RiverBend, I would have been alone. This is scary enough already, I couldn’t imagine it without my family and friends here,” says mom Kayla Guerrero.
