      Walmart

      Walmart and Sam’s Clubs have raised more than $530 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1987 when ‘Mr. Sam’ agreed to allow the associates to raise money for children’s hospitals with the promise “the associates will amaze you.” Indeed they have.

      Their first fundraising campaign for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals resulted in an impressive $300,000, followed by significant increases each year thereafter. How do they do it? By asking customers and members to buy a virtual Miracle Balloon six weeks out of the year, hosting golf tournaments and a variety of other creative fundraising activities. Their passion pays off: In 2010, the Walmart and Sam’s Club associates raised more than $27 million for the 170 hospitals.

      Dr. Margaret McKenna, president of the Walmart Foundation, says that Walmart’s support of Children’s Miracle Network is a natural extension of their concern for kids. “By supporting children,” says Dr. McKenna, “we are making an investment in our communities and our future.”

      The future promises more milestone achievements in fundraising by the dedicated associates, customers and members of Walmart, Sam’s Clubs, Neighborhood Markets, Transportation Offices and Distribution Centers. They are a group of ordinary people doing extraordinary things!

      Costco Wholesale

      Costco Wholesale, headquartered in Seattle, has raised more than $137 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1988. Currently 412 warehouses in 89 markets participating in some sort of fundraising campaign for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

      In May, Costco participates in a month-long miracle balloon campaign at all warehouses in the United States and Canada. Costco employees’ hearts are as big as the warehouses they work in. Along with the balloon campaign, there are many warehouses that run other programs to raise money to increase their fundraising totals. They have special lunches that employees can purchase, popcorn sales, car washes, races and walks, and dozens of other creative fundraising activities. They also have a great program that includes their vendors, where they sell the larger balloons to sponsors to hang up in their warehouse showing their support of the campaign.

      Foresters

      Foresters™ successful partnership with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals reflects its long history of helping children, families and the communities in which they live. Since 1990, Foresters has been one of the top sponsors of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, contributing more than $24 million for its awareness and fundraising programs.

      Foresters support has helped raise more than $330 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across Canada and the United States. This funding allows more than 170 children’s hospitals in North America to continue their work - providing necessary health care for 17 million children each year. Another important aspect of Foresters partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is our sponsorship of Radiothon. Each year, Foresters members, distribution partners and employees volunteer their time to help organize and participate in Radiothon, as well as hundreds of other local fundraising events to benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. As the founding sponsor of Radiothon, Foresters support ensures that 100 percent of the funds raised through these events go directly towards local children’s hospitals.

      Credit Unions for Kids

      Credit Unions for Kids is the brand under which America’s credit unions fundraise for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The collaborative effort, which is driven by a “people helping people” philosophy, includes individual credit unions; local chapters; state leagues/associations; two national trade organizations; business partners and several trade publications.

      The program was introduced nationally in 1996 and since that time the credit union movement has raised more than $80 million for affiliated children’s hospitals. Annually, credit unions are the third largest “corporate” contributor to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals behind only Wal-Mart and Costco.

      The credit union community has established a wonderful legacy at hospitals across the country, funding breakthrough research, numerous programs and services and construction of new facilities. Fundraising activities run the gamut from major events to online giving campaigns to paper balloon icon sales.

      Re/Max International Inc.

      Marriott

      Marriott International holds the honorable distinction of being Children’s Miracle Network Hospital’s first corporate partner. Since 1983 Marriott International has raised more than $66 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals throughout the country. Its associates and guests raise these funds through hosting large scale events, icon campaigns, conducting unique fundraising events at individual properties, participating in the Torch Relay, and many more.

      Marriott International guests also donate millions of Marriott Rewards points each year to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to help families in need when their children are being treated at our hospitals.

      Rite Aid

      Rite Aid is a major partner of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Rite Aid encourages a strong work ethic with their associates, which includes fundraising for every associate’s local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. A favorite annual fundraiser is an executive carwash where all employees at the corporate office are encouraged to get their car as dirty as possible and then the executives wash it for a donation. Another popular fundraiser is a golf event in California that is among the top one-day golf fundraising events for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. On a national level, Rite Aid has committed each year to selling the iconic Miracle Balloon and raises more than $5 million each year.

      Buddy Hazelton, top Rite Aid fund-raiser nationally for Children's Miracle Network, hosts a yearly sidewalk sale benefiting Sacred Heart's youngest patients.

      Ace Hardware

      Since becoming a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals partner in 1991, Ace Hardware has raised more than $45 million for local Children’ s Miracle Network Hospitals. This success stems from the creative fundraising efforts of the Ace Hardware Foundation and the generous contributions of Ace retailers, vendor partners and Ace team members.

      The Ace Hardware Foundation hosts a number of major fundraising events each year. Two of Aces’ largest fundraisers include the annual Ace Hardware Foundation Vendor Golf Outing, the largest event of its kind in the Chicago area, and the annual Ace Celebrity Golf Shootout. As a result of generous contributions, vendor support and steadfast commitment from the Ace team, these two events raised more than $1.5 million in 2010 to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

      In addition to these large events, Ace retailers and Ace retail support centers participate in Miracle Balloon campaigns and host a number of regional fundraising events each year ranging from golf outings, barbecue events, fishing tournaments and garage sales.

      Dairy Queen

      A 27-year partner of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Dairy Queen has raised more than $86 million for children’s hospitals. The majority of the funds raised each year come from Miracle Treat Day, a one-day event where a portion of proceeds from every blizzard sold benefit children’s hospitals across North America.       Carmike Cinemas

      Carmike Cinemas is the second-largest motion picture exhibitor in the United States.
      During the month of May, moviegoers at Carmike Cinemas won’t just see the latest blockbuster movie; they’ll also have a chance to make a donation to their Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Each year, Carmike Cinemas shows a 60-second Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals trailer that encourage patrons to buy a Miracle Balloon, promoting the efforts of Carmike employees giving back to the community and enhancing the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals brand. Carmike Cinemas is the second-largest motion picture exhibitor in the United States.

      CO-OP Financial Services

      CO-OP Financial Services has been an integral part of the Credit Unions for Kids program since the late ‘90s when they introduced the ATM campaign which raised almost $200,000 in year one.
      Since that time, CO-OP has stepped up to sponsor Champions Across America and countless other programs and events that support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.Since 2008, CO-OP has underwritten the hugely popular Miracle Match program which provides a million dollars annually in matching funds to credit unions conducting fundraising campaigns and events under the Credit Unions for Kids brand.

      In addition to the over $2 million contributed annually, CO-OP employees volunteer countless hours on event committees and both local and national Children’s Miracle Network Hospital boards.
      Serving the credit union community for over 30 years, CO-OP is the industry leader in access and convenience products. With a total of 3,000 credit unions, 30 million cardholders, 28,000 surcharge-free ATMs, 4,000 shared branch locations and 160 million-plus monthly transactions, CO-OP is the nation’s largest credit union service organization.

      Express Services

      Express Employment Professionals has always had a strong corporate culture of social responsibility. In 1991, Express affiliated with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and since then, Express has contributed more than $3 million to better the lives of kids in the communities where their franchisees and employees work and live. Express Employment Professionals delivers staffing support and human resources through a network of franchise office owners. Express helps people succeed by matching clients with qualified candidates. Express Employment Professionals has franchised more than 600 offices in the United States, Canada, South Africa and Australia. Express Employment Professionals recognize that the children of today are the workforce of tomorrow and join together to help people succeed in all phases of life. Express offices nationwide have raised funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through golf events, walk-a-thons, auctions, payroll deduction, and through the Express Clydesdale team.

      Great Clips

      Nearly 1,200 Great Clips salons raise more than $300,000 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals each year by selling the iconic Miracle Balloon, as well as hosting events like cut-a-thons or bake sales. Many stylists donate their own time, visiting hospitals to cut children's hair.

      Every October Great Clips salons in communities across the United States sell Miracle Balloons to benefit their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Last year, the top salon raised more than $5,000, just one dollar at a time.

      Greek Partners – Sigma Chi

      Sigma Chi’s core values are friendship, justice and learning. Their mission is to develop values-based leaders committed to the betterment of character, campus and community. The more than $6 million they have raised for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals is a prime example of how living their values aid their communities. Through organizing Derby Days, their signature fundraising event, Sigma Chi men continue to build strong positive relationships with their Children's Miracle Network Hospital and local families and community. Sigma Chi joined Children's Miracle Network Hospitals as a philanthropy partner in 1986 and continues to thrive in its relationship and continues to increase in funds raised annually.

      IHOP

      In February 2010, IHOP partnered with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to celebrate its fifth annual National Pancake Day. During this event, IHOP guests were invited to enjoy a free short stack of its signature buttermilk pancakes in return for considering making a donation to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

      The newly-crowned Miss America 2010, Caressa Cameron, served as the event’s national spokesperson, generating national public awareness for the cause. This event was a huge success as IHOP gave away more than 4 million pancakes. Nearly 1,500 IHOP restaurants participated in the day’s festivities. Through their support of National Pancake Day in 2010, IHOP team members and guests raised more than $2.1 million and a whopping $5.35 million in five years since beginning National Pancake Day in 2006!

      Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is pleased to have IHOP as one of its sponsors and looks forward to a successful partnership for many years to come.

      Kiwanis

      Kiwanis International and their many service programs, including Key Club International, continue to raise the bar in fundraising. Kiwanis International was the first association based sponsor of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, joining the charity as a partner in 1982. Key Club and the many other arms of Kiwanis joined later on as they became recognized programs of Kiwanis. In 1997, Key Club made Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals an official charity of choice for their members to support.

      Log a Load

      Log a Load for Kids has raised approximately $15 million nationally to help sick and injured children. Individuals and businesses in the community contribute to help local children’s hospitals. You can be sure that donations to Log a Load for Kids help children close to your home.

      Log A Load For Kids was started by the South Carolina Forestry Association in 1988. The American Pulpwood Association became the Log A Load For Kids national sponsor in 1993. The basic concept is for loggers and wood-supplying businesses in various states to donate the value of a load of logs to their Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Many other special events sponsored by companies in the logging and forestry industry and other logging-supported organizations also generate significant funds. The program has raised more than $28 million in the last 15 years.

      Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores

      Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores is a family owned and operated chain of food and fuel stops. In 2010 Love’s added 40 new locations to their company raising their total of locations to 260. They are located in over 30 states across North America. They are currently ranked No. 25 on Forbe's Magazine's annual listing of America's largest privately held companies. They take special pride in their locations and their employees. Their motto is “Clean Places, Friendly Places.” They believe that giving back to each community in which they operate is an important factor to their success. One of those ways they give back to their communities is to partner with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. They have been a partner for 12 years raising more than $4.4 million. In 2010, Love’s locations raised $1 million. To raise these funds, the locations sold paper hearts. Their team members dedicate a lot of their personal time and money in raising funds for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in their area.

      Ray’s Food Place

      C&K “Ray’s Food Place” operates 61 grocery stores in Oregon and California and partners with Children’s Miracle Network across the country by holding an annual Miracle Balloon Icon Campaign. Their friendship and partnership to help local kids credits how much they value their community.

      Abby’s Legendary Pizza

      Abby’s Legendary Pizza contributes to many community-based events and programs, including Children’s Miracle Network.

      Since 1997 Abby’s Legendary Pizza has been supporting Children’s Miracle Network, and now holds a winter icon campaign, selling paper snowman at 12 locations just for Sacred Heart Medical Center. Other locations can be found from Wenatchee, Washington to Medford, Oregon. Today, there are 35 Abby’s locations serving hungry customers throughout Washington and Oregon. Picture

      Red Rooster Barber Shop

      The Red Rooster Barber Shop is an old-school, real man’s barber shop. It’s a place where clients come as much for the banter with Pete Peterson, who isn’t always the most politically correct person, as anything else.

      Peterson, who lives in Harrisburg with his wife of 47 years, Shannon, celebrated his 40th anniversary at Red Rooster. He has a huge heart for helping kids, and since 2000 has held a Spring balloon icon campaign to help local kids treated at Sacred Heart Medical Center. He pulls money out of every customer, and continues to be a close friend to Children’s Miracle Network.

      Emerald City News & Gifts

      Emerald City News & Gifts is a local gift shop located in the Eugene Airport. Since 2006 they have generously supported Children’s Miracle Network at Sacred Heart Medical Center by collecting change from daily travelers to make a difference in a kids life, one penny at a time.

      Cloud City Garrison 

      One day, in a coffee shop near Sacred Heart at University District, Allan Quick sat down for a talk with folks from Children’s Miracle Network. He wanted to find a way for Cloud City Garrison to get involved with Radiothon and raise money for sick children and infants.

      Years later, Cloud City Garrison and Kashyyk Base – a Star Wars Imperial costuming club – does so much more. From appearances at Buddy’s Rite Aid Garage Sale and Costco to selling Miracle Balloons at IHOP and performing at family celebrations, the troop continues to raise awareness and much needed funding for our most vulnerable patients.

      It goes to show what imagination and initiative can do. Thank you!

      Our local Borders store has stepped up for the last couple years for the kids, holding annual book drives and donating stuffed animals to make every child’s stay that much more comfortable.

      Eugene Emeralds

      The Eugene Emeralds really know how to hit it out of the park, and has become a wonderful friend to Children’s Miracle Network by holding annual CMN nights at our local minor league games, helping raise critical funds and getting the community involved. They have also generously hosted miracle families to games and donated tickets to several events held by the hospital every year.
