Walk-in Clinic Provides After-hours Services to Residents
On Monday, Nov. 19, Cottage Grove Community Hospital & Clinics will open a new walk-in clinic designed to improve health care access for residents of the Cottage Grove area.
The $208,000 remodel was funded entirely by generous donors to Cottage Grove Community Hospital Foundation. Supporters can get an early look at the clinic during an open house on Friday, Nov. 15 from 2 to 3 p.m.
Part primary health provider, part urgent care clinic, this new center is designed to meet the needs of a busy, growing population. Child wake up with a high fever? No need to wait for the next appointment at the doctor’s office. Need treatment on a Saturday? The clinic can prevent a visit to the emergency room. New to town and can’t get in to see a doctor for months? Now you can.
Services will include general check-ups and treatment for injuries and illnesses. No appointments are necessary, and the clinic is open to people without primary health care providers or physicians within the PeaceHealth system. For people who are within the system, clinic doctors will have immediate access to their medical records.
The clinic’s hours will be Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday visits are limited to patients age 8 and over.
