What We Are Doing:
Our surgical team is committed to preventing surgical site infections. Peace Harbor participates in a nationwide "Surgical Care Improvement Project" (SCIP), and we know antibiotic timing before surgery is critical. This program includes using a "protocol", of giving pre-surgical antibiotics at a very specific time and stopping them when indicated after surgery. We understand that there are risks with any surgery, so we carefully screen for any possible health conditions that might affect your recovery before your operation begins.
