Measure: Before starting a blood or blood product transfusion, the patient is matched to the blood or blood product using a two person verification process that uses at least two unique patient identifiers.

What We Are Doing:
We know it is absolutely critical that the blood products you receive are a match for you. St. Joe's has a Patient Transfusion Protocol requiring that two healthcare professionals confirm the match for every blood product before it is administered.
