What We Are Doing:

We value the involvement, cooperation, and creativity of all who work together to promote the health of our community.  It is through the engagement of inspired care givers, that Ketchikan Medical Center (KMC) provides quality and compassionate care every time, every touch.

The organizational health survey provides executive and managerial leadership at KMC with the information necessary to take actions that positively impact caregiver engagement.  Over the years, there have been numerous initiatives that have been implemented as a result of the organizational health survey.  Such initiatives include the formation of regular CEO communication Forums, the Food for Thought Cart, and many other initiatives towards enhancing staff recruitment and retention.

It is our firm belief that through the development and retention of a compassionate and committed health care team, KMC will not only provide the quality of care that our communities desire, but that which they expect.

We respect the dignity and appreciate the worth of each person as demonstrated by our compassion, caring, and acceptance of individual differences.
