What We Are Doing:

Proven research shows that antibiotics given to prevent surgical site infections should not be given longer than 24 hours after surgery, due to the risks that come with prolonged use. Our team of surgeons, pharmacists and infection preventionists closely monitor each surgical patient to make sure the antibiotics are stopped when indicated.
