What We Are Doing:
For every new patient, clinicians assess their ability to accurately take their medications without assistance. When problems with taking the medicines as prescribed is identified, teaching is provided to promote independence whenever possible, and ensure medicines are taken accurately, as prescribed.  Simplification of the medicine schedule is sometimes employed to improve adherence to the schedule. Progress reports are given to the doctor.
