What We Are Doing:
Peace Harbor Home Health employs a nurse certified in wound care to assist in the planning of care for all complicated wounds.  She works with other nurses to make recommendations for wound care as needed.  The home care team educates patients about nutrition to promote healing, the importance of adequate fluid intake, positioning to promote good blood circulation for healing when appropriate, and how to protect wounds from becoming infected.
