What We Are Doing:
Evidence-based practice proves that by giving an antibiotic within 60-120 minutes of surgical incision time, it will reduce the risk of a surgical site infection. We review the care of our patients who have had a wide variety of procedures and surgeries to make sure that we are giving antibiotics when they are most effective. Our goal is to look at our care, and make changes when necessary, so that we provide exceptional care that is equal to the best hospitals in the nation
