Before joining the staff of PeaceHealth’s Senior Health & Wellness Center, Katy Patton, GNP, spent 25 years with Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, serving in a variety of nursing positions ranging from community outreach to orthopedic and neurological post-operative care and step-down cardiac care. Even before completing her geriatric nurse practitioner education at Oregon Health & Science University in 2006, Katy often worked on behalf of older adults, providing geriatric consultation and community outreach nursing for Providence Medical Group and serving on the Senior Advisory Council for the local Area Agency on Aging. She was an invited presenter at a national gathering of hospice and palliative care nurses, and she has provided training in how to train family caregivers. |
