Dr. Chris Katterhagen was born November 30th, 1963 in Iowa City, Iowa. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from California Polytechnic State University in 1987 and her medical degree from The Chicago Medical School in 1992. Dr. Katterhagen completed her internship and surgical residency training at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas, Texas in 1997. She did a portion of her senior surgical residency at the Sydney Royal North Shore Hospital/Lismore Base Hospital in Sydney, Australia. Dr. Katterhagen joined Longview Surgical Group in September 1997.
Dr. Katterhagen is married. She and her husband enjoy running and traveling.
Dr. Katterhagen is certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery. Dr. Katterhagen works in partnership with Dr. Dane Moseson and Dr. Mario Forte in the Lower Columbia Breast Clinic. She has admitting privileges at St. John Medical Center (Longview, Washington) and Southwest Washington Medical Center (Vancouver, Washington). In addition, she consults and treats patients in conjunction with surgeons at Oregon Health Sciences University and the University of Washington. Dr. Katterhagen holds medical licenses in both the State of Washington and Oregon.
She is actively involved with the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She is certified by the ASBS/ACR in both Diagnostic and Interventional Breast Ultrasound. She is a Lecturer for the I Can Cope Cancer Series taught on a triannual basis at St. Johns and is a ATLS Instructor as well. |
