Robert Swangard, MD, is the Medical Director of the Vascular Lab at Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute at Sacred Heart Medical Center and a Clinical Associate Professor at Oregon Health & Science University. He has been in private practice focusing on vascular surgery at Sacred Heart since 1979. After finishing medical school at the University of Freiburg in Germany, Dr. Swangard began his residency at Tufts University in Boston and Springfield, Mass., where he became a teaching fellow in 1977. His special interests include vascular hemodynamics, carotid artery disease, venous disorders and quality assurance.
