Infectious Disease and hyperbaric medicine specialist Robert Barnes, MD, worked as a laboratory chief with the Centers of Disease Control in Atlanta following medical training. Following this, he practiced internal medicine and infectious diseases for 18 years, most recently at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. His 25 years in the Navy Reserve and experience as a submarine officer led to a professional subspecialty in hyperbaric medicine, and his current role as the Medical Director of the Sacred Heart Medical Center Hyperbaric Center.
